EDUCATION

As Christians, we serve a God of forgiveness and we pray to be forgiven even as we forgive others. Yet few of us understand what a complex skill forgiveness is and there is little training in how to forgive. Phil Jones holds a Master's Degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Texas at Austin, and is an experienced trainer who has been praised for his skill and talent in designing learning experiences for adults. Based on his studies of works by Frs. Mathew and Dennis Linn, Dr. Larry Dossey, and Dr. Herbert Benson, and his personal experiences with forgiveness and healing prayer, Phil has designed a course entitled, "The Healing Power of Forgiveness." This 9-hour experiential course begins with a study of the scriptural teachings on forgiveness and healing prayer and then proceeds to guide the participants to apply the priciples learned to situations in their own lives through journaling, companion sharing, and prayer.

THE RESULT IS:

• restored peace of mind;
• a significant release of anger, fear, and guilt from the lives of the learners;
• a lightening of the emotional burdens they carry;
• the healing of emotional and physical illness;
• renewed emotional and physical energy;
• a renewed vitality in prayer life and increased prayer power;
• a deepening of faith; and
• the healing and restoration of troubled relationships.

The course typically begins on Friday evening, and continues through Saturday morning and afternoon, ending about 5:00 p.m. However, it can also be presented as a series of 6 weekly sessions of one to two hours each. An outline of the course is shown below.
